I'm still lying in my bed (finishing the final Buffy Book) when the yearly neighbourhood festivities are starting: I can hear a familiar piece of music in the distance and when the marchingband (and dancers) pass beneath my window, I remember why it is making me feel a little peculiar: it's 'On Broadway' and the same music is being played during the cheerleaderperformance in 'American Beauty'. What a way to start the day:)
I had a lot of plans, but didn't get to do everything on my list. I did buy groceries and also found a videotape (Serendipity) and a dvd (2 movies with Jack Nicholson: Prizzi's Honor & Little Shop Of Horrors) that I just had to buy for only 2.99 each.
On the attic I discovered more pictures had fallen of the sliding doors, that sticky gum is really useless, so I nailed all the movie-photo's to the wall (had to use a hammer to teach 'm to stay there now;) After that I started on the rest of the ceiling, I got half way and then I 'had to' go downstairs to watch the ten meter jump... Not that I'm particularly interested in that sport, but this morning I'd noticed a tasty contestant, who might actually win a medal, so I became interested;) It was supposed to start at 8 pm, but the athletics-tournement was more important, so I had to wait until 10 pm for the BBC to show the final in the swimmingpool. Until then I spent time chanelsurfing (the program 'Who's for dinner' with Gert Jan Dröge at a fictional dinertable with Paul de Leeuw turned out to be quite boring). Between all the other jumpers 'my discovery' (the Canadian) was the only attractive guy (very cute hair including sideburns, yum) but looks weren't enough en because of nerves he ruined his last jump, while the others landed in the water perfectly, so he finished in fourth place, now I still didn't get to see him smile :-(
To end the day with some comfortable tv, I stay up for West Wing at 11 pm...
