Noticed one of the worst pictograms on the bus today:

Since there was an emergency hammer close to it, I suspect it means 'break the window in case of emergency'

Ooookay. If one of my interns had handed in this design, I wouldn't have know whether to laugh or cry, but I definitely would have failed them.

NIce one... I can make the following comments:
-The life hammer doesn't look like one
-It isn't clear what to break
-It isn't clear under what circumstance to use the lifehammer
-It isn't a schematic drawing as a pictogram ought to be
-The pictogram is completely unnecesary because everybody that is able to use a lifehammer knows how it works
Good find (and greetings)!

Hey, hello!
The life hammer looks like a laser or a graffity spraycan. And there is definitely too much going on for it to be called a pictogram. It tries to be an instructional picture, while it should simply be a sign to make people aware of the hammer. I'm baffled that it was approved and is now used in thousands of busses. It's unbelievable someone got paid for this.
