Woohoo, noticed just in time that 'As If' is on again: every Saturday AND Sunday-afternoon. Great series from the UK (2001) about six teenagers (17 and up) in London. Each episode lets one of them talk about their week. Good stuff...

[complaining about the age of consent in the UK being higher for homosexuals than for heterosexuals*]
Alex: It's a load of crap all this consent lark. Everyone of my mates is getting it, why can't I?

FYI: *Before 2001 the age of consent in England for homosexuals was 18, while it was 16 for heterosexuals. (Lesbians were not mentioned in law...) Now it's 18 for all preferences. More information about critical ages around the world can be found here!

In criminal law, the age of consent is the age at which a person is considered to be capable of legally giving informed consent to sexual acts with another person.
